Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, just publicly said that California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass could be arrested and federally prosecuted for protecting undocumented immigrants.
In a televised interview, Homan said that if state or local officials obstruct ICE or “harbor illegal aliens,” they could be charged with a federal felony. His exact words:
“If they cross that line, we’ll ask DOJ to prosecute.”
He then went on to call Governor Newsom “an embarrassment to his state.”
