Marjorie Taylor Greene Didn’t Read the Bill. She Voted Anyway.
🚨 Sound the alarm: Marjorie Taylor Greene just admitted she voted for Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” — without reading it.
I’m not exaggerating. She literally said on camera that she “wasn’t aware” of one of the most explosive parts of the bill she voted yes on: a 10-year ban on states being able to regulate artificial intelligence. That’s a clause buried on pages 278–279 of the 1,000+ page bill, which passed the House by a single vote.
That vote was hers.
And now she wants to walk it back.
According to MTG, she would’ve voted no if she knew about the AI ban — because she supports states’ rights (at least when it's convenient). But let's be real: she still supports the rest of this bill. The parts that give Trump sweeping new powers. The tax cuts for billionaires. The handouts for corporations. The AI clause just happened to hit a nerve because it caught her off guard — not because she opposes authoritarianism in any form.
And her colleagues are not letting her off the hook.
Rep. Eric Swalwell posted:
🗣 “You have one job. To. Read. The. F***ing. Bill.”
Ted Lieu said he read the clause. Voted against the bill. Because that’s what you're supposed to do when you're holding the lives and rights of 330 million people in your hands.
But Greene? She didn’t even skim.
She cast the deciding vote on a bill that could reshape tech, state sovereignty, and economic policy for the next decade — and she did it blind.
Let that sink in.
It’s not just Greene. It’s the entire Republican apparatus backing this man like he’s a messiah, blindly rubber-stamping whatever he wants — even when they don’t know what’s in it. Even when it hurts their own constituents. Even when it turns Congress into a theater for fascism.
And if the Senate doesn't stop this bill? It's law.
